Allan Miller works for the Champlain Valley School District in Burlington, Vermont where he is the Digital and Transformational Learning Coach at Charlotte Central School. He has been a public school educator for 33 years, with the majority of his time spent teaching science and Russian in Alaska prior to moving to Vermont where he was a Principal for 8 years prior to moving to his current position.
He has a BS in Adolescent Psychology from Dartmouth College, as well as an MS in Exercise Physiology from Ithaca College and an MS in Educational Leadership from the University of Alaska. Allan lives in Shelburne, VT with his wife Joan, their three children and two dogs.
He regularly leads professional development around technology integration, project based learning and making / design thinking and as a NASA Solar System Ambassador and former Astronaut Candidate Finalist presents at national conferences on space science education.
A lifelong athlete and coach, Allan enjoys running, hiking, cross country skiing and cycling. He also enjoys travelling – most recently returning from Uzbekistan where he partnered with Uzbek colleagues practising his Russian while exploring best practices in STEM education, curriculum design and professional development.
